Sign Permit Application

Sign permit application fee: $145.00

For multiple signs, there is an additional fee of $24.00 per additional sign.

For a sign which has already been erected prior to application, the fee is $179.00 plus $36.00 per additional sign.

No fee is charged for an application to erect a temporary sign where the applicant is a registered non-profit organization and where the purpose of the sign is to advertise an event or a program registration period.

Documents to upload in order to submit a complete application:

  • Image of proposed sign including all text and graphics.
  • Plan indicating the proposed location of the sign with clearly marked distances from buildings, driveways, parking, streets, and property lines.
  • Letter from property owner granting permission for the sign (if applicable).

Declaration

In the matter of By-law 2019-20 and amendments thereto, for regulating the issuance, renewal and approval of licences in the Corporation of the City of Clarence-Rockland, I, the undersigned, certify that the statements herein contained in the said application are true and made with a full knowledge of the circumstances connected with the same, and acknowledge that I have read the declaration and notice contained below.

The undersigned agrees that the issuance of a licence will be subject to approvals from such municipal or provincial departments or agencies, as the Licence Manager deems necessary. The issuance of a licence is not indented and shall not be construed as permission or consent by the Corporation for the holder of the licence to contravene or fail to observe or comply with any law of Canada or Ontario or any by-law of the Corporation.

Any business licence application that has not received approvals from all municipal or provincial departments or agencies due to the applicant’s inability to comply with the licence requirements within 90 days from the date of filing the application shall be deemed refused.
